Fit For Life Course

November 20, 2007

I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to the three parents and grandmother who have come into school to help out and join in with the ‘Fit for Life’ course on Tuesday afternoons.

More parents are very welcome and I would love it if you would like to join in too.  The children are having a fantastic afternoon, with a cookery session delivered by a chef and dietician, and a superb, fun fitness session led by a coach from Writhlington Sports Centre.

Sometimes the parents help out with the cooking and at other times they join in with the fitness session.  It really is great fun.  This is such a brilliant opportunity for you to get into the classroom and experience some of the things that your children are learning.

Please help!

Dear Parents and Carers of Seahorsec4,

Could you give up an hour and a half every Tuesday for the next six weeks to help out with the ‘Fit for Life’ course?  This would be a great help and I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself too.

Please respond to this message by leaving a comment or by contacting The Robot or the Head Mechanic at school.

Thank you.

Kind regards,

The Robot.

Help Needed for ‘Fit for Life’ Course

October 22, 2007

Dear Parents and Carers of Seahorsec4 children,

After the holiday, Seahorse class has great treat in store; they will be participating in a ‘Fit for Life’ course on Tuesday afternoons.  The aim of the course is to inform the children of the ingredients of a healthy lifestyle and will include opportunities to take part in fun physical exercise as well as cooking a range of delicious, healthy snacks and meals.

The course organisers will supply almost everything we need.  The only missing ingredient, which is essential to make this a success, is parent helpers.  We need at least eight parents for every Tuesday afternoon for six weeks.

I am sure that you will find it a lot of fun too and will learn some recipes that you will probably want to try for yourself at home.

If you would like to help, please contact me by leaving a comment for this post.  You can remain anonymous; just say that you are the parent of … and leave your child’s online nickname.

I hope this makes sense!

Kind regards,

The Robot.
